My Path to HCLS I founded Home Counsel Legal Services because I believe the legal landscape needs to change. For too long, the industry has been rigid and slow to adapt. I wanted to build a firm that integrates technology from the ground up to create a standard of efficiency and client support that actually fits into your modern life.

My Experience My legal background is intentionally diverse, allowing me to bring a unique perspective to family law. I cut my teeth in the field during my articles at a boutique firm, learning the nuances of family dynamics alongside a mentor with over 25 years of experience.

I have always been fascinated by the intersection of law and innovation. During my time as a Research Assistant at the University of Ottawa’s Centre for Law, Technology and Society, and later in the private sector, I focused heavily on consumer protection and compliance. This experience taught me that safety and service excellence must always come first.

I also bring a global lens to my practice. My work with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime involved pivotal research on corruption and compliance, while my time as a legal consultant for the Bureau d’Assistance Juridique Internationale required me to navigate complex tax mandates for a wide range of institutional sponsors. I bring that same rigorous attention to detail to every file I handle.

Outside the Office When I’m not reshaping the legal experience for my clients, I believe in keeping my mind and body active. You’ll likely find me strategizing over a game of chess, unwinding at the piano, or hitting the trails on my mountain bike.
