My Approach to Law I approach family law with a simple goal: to bring calm and clarity to what is often the most difficult time in a client’s life. I know that legal challenges can be overwhelming, which is why I prioritize a client-focused approach grounded in empathy and strategic focus. I believe that access to justice is a fundamental right, and I am committed to providing respectful, effective support to clients from all backgrounds.
My Experience My legal foundation was built right here in Ontario. After earning my Bachelor of Arts in Law and Justice from Laurentian University and my Juris Doctor from the University of Ottawa, I completed my articles at a local firm specializing in family and criminal law.
That experience threw me into the deep end of the legal system, where I appeared regularly in court and helped clients navigate everything from contested bail hearings to complex parenting plans and separation agreements. Today, I draw on that extensive courtroom experience to advocate for families across Eastern Ontario.
Professional Background Before I became a lawyer, I spent five years working in the public sector, including a tenure at the Canada Revenue Agency’s Charities Directorate. That time gave me a sharp eye for regulatory compliance and accountability—skills that now inform the thorough, detail-oriented approach I bring to every client file.
Outside the Office To stay grounded and focused for my clients, I prioritize time outdoors. You can usually find me hiking, biking, or recharging with a good book.
