Our Student Program: A Blend of Learning and Working
By joining the HCLS member network as a student, you will gain access to valuable law student opportunities that include:
Work Directly with Experienced Lawyers: Receive tasks from seasoned lawyers who will mentor you through legal processes in a supportive environment.
Participate in Real Client Projects: Engage in legal internships by assisting in the preparation of legal documents such as Separation Agreements, Pleadings, and more, with the assurance that all your work will receive quality feedback.
Earn While You Learn: School's expensive - we get it. We don't expect students to be doing pro bono work at this stage in their careers. Our student program allows you to gain professional experience while being compensated for your deliverables.
What We Are Looking For
Dedicated Students: Specifically designed for law student opportunities, we welcome candidates completing a law degree (J.D., LL.B., LL.L.) who have completed at least 1 full year of law school or possess previous professional work experience.
Attention to Detail: Legal internships demand precision and thoroughness. Our member network comprises individuals who take the extra step to deliver quality results.
Ethics & Professionalism: As you will be addressing real client needs, you must adhere to the Law Society's professional and ethical standards within our student program.

Student Legal Insights Program (SLIP)
What is it?
HCLS is committed to fostering the professional development of future legal professionals by creating valuable law student opportunities. To support this mission, HCLS has initiated a student program that allows law students to share their high-quality academic work on our platform, which can also serve as a stepping stone towards obtaining legal internships.
How to apply?
This student program is open to all law students who have written papers that received a grade in the 'A' range (A-, A, A+) in the last two years. The subject of the paper must be relevant to current legal topics and preferably align with the areas of law that HCLS practices, offering valuable law student opportunities and insights into potential legal internships.
