If you are unsure whether your document needs to be notarized, the most reliable course of action is to consult directly with the receiving party or organization.
Why We Can’t Always Advise on What to Notarize
Many clients assume that we should know which of their documents require notarization. While we are well-versed in notarization procedures and standards, advising on what should be notarized in your specific situation is not within the scope of our notarization service for several reasons:
- Varying Requirements: We handle a vast array of documents intended for an equally diverse range of recipients. These organizations often have specific and sometimes ever-changing requirements, which we cannot be expected to track.
- Case-Specific Circumstances: Even if we had comprehensive knowledge of every organization’s general requirements, individual cases might necessitate additional documentation. There’s no one-size-fits-all guideline for document submission.
- No Legal Advice in Notarization Service: At HCLS, although we can provide legal advice when booked for such a service, the notarization process itself does not include legal counsel. If you require specialized legal advice, we offer separate consultations for that purpose.
